Fall Programs:

Join us at the Springwater American Legion, 7998 School Street for a Dish to Pass Dinner at 6:30 and the Program at 7:15.  All programs are Free and Open to the Public.  Donations for the support of the Society are welcome.

September 8.  Kristie Krumrine, Adjunct Professor of Anthropology SUNY Geneseo and St John Fisher College will share the findings of the former home-site excavation at Hemlock Lake this summer.  She is looking forward to meeting with us to hear what additional information we can provide about the area.

October 13.  Stacy Gilson.  Did You Really Wear That?  Clothing Styles through the ages.  Stacy is a local historic clothing enthusiast and will share some of her clothing.  We encourage all community members to bring a favorite iconic item of  clothing or a photo showing a favorite style to the meeting.

November 10.  The program, “Medicine Show: History of Patent Medicine,” will be presented by Erica Joan Wanecski.

Wanecski, who is a member of the Medina Historical Society, has worked in the medical field for more than 20 years, becoming a family medicine physician assistant. She works in the education field with deaf children.

December 8.  Antiques Show and Tell.  A return of one of our favorite programs.  Everyone is invited to bring a historic item special to them to share with the group.  Our local historical experts will be on hand to offer insights to value and history.

Programs are presented on the Second Tuesdays of Mar, Apr, May, Sep, Oct, Nov, and Dec at the Springwater American Legion, School Street.  Meetings are free and open to the public and start at 6:30 pm with a dish to pass dinner.  Programs start at 7:15 pm.  Come for the Dinner, the Program or both.
